"The Party" is a short film and photo reportage made and presented at the same time with a gallery show. CHIARA BONI has chosen this ­ in her style - an unusual visual communication that works on the feelings and on the emotions moved from the images. A love story. A "fiction" but without fiction: the characters are not institutional models and they express moods: conformity, jealousy, transgression, liberation -- spontaneous, real, "natural".

Moments of real life, in sum. The "black and white" highlights its documentary flavor. Of course, the creator and director of the shoots is Doug Menuez, Californian with Basque origins, already multi-award winning photo reporter and ads author, today curios explorer of new techniques and new ways of expression in the area of Art and Fashion. "Iıve always tried to seize emotions", he says. "In 'The Party' you can do it because there is no acting. Thatıs my formula to translate fashion in real life".

His vision of reality, now respectful, now ironic, always glamorous, is centered on feelings. In this way the look of the fashion is kept fresh, innocent. "But for me, as well," CHIARA BONI says. "I look for fashion in the real UOMO (man) more than in the runway model; I love the relationship that people have with their clothes, I still think that we keep wearing clothes to like ourselves and to be liked. I think that those are the times when we have needs to go back to escaping, to feelings, to emotions, even in wearing clothes".
